My Yoke Is Easy

Many times we get overwhelmed by the demands of life. Our pursuit of holiness is no less intimidating. We can sometimes fall victim to striving to “do better” or “be better” for God in our own strength. But Jesus tells us his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Our job is to yield to the work he’s doing in us, not to perform it ourselves. What peace and assurance we can have in simply knowing that, with him, “doing better” and “being better” will never a heavy burden.
