What a beautiful reassurance we have to know that nothing we endure in this life as believers is in vain, because the work the Lord began in us when we first received his salvation, he is faithful to continue it to completion. What rest we have in knowing we don't have to have everything all figured out. We can just rest in his wisdom and provision, yielding to his Spirit, allowing him to perfect in us, his very own person. This is one of the most beautiful and comforting promises of scripture.
