God forever remains the same in all ways. He is no respecter of persons and will render to each man his reward according to his deeds. When we are merciful, we ourselves will receive mercy. If we incline ourselves toward sin and opposition toward God, however, we won't encounter the version of God reserved for the intimate relationship he desires to have with us. Let this word be a good reminder to conduct ourselves in a way that God will honor.
